Lobbying:
| Helped obtain early FDA approval of Vistide, a Gilead anti-CMV drug. She testified for the FDA, and was featured in a video. |
| Lobbied against mandatory HIV name reporting (since NWAF research had shown that it would reduce testing). She spoke with members of the Washington State Senate and House of Representatives. |
| Lobbied against the wording of the Parental Rights and Responsibilities Act (which would have made AIDS Education in public schools difficult, at best). She spoke with members of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. |
