bulletAs a Board member, helped to design the Northwest AIDS Foundation's back-to-work program for people that were improving due to new drugs (which, unfortunately, did not include herself).  Also helped organize, worked and spoke at the NWAF AIDS Walk several years

Lobbying:

bulletHelped obtain early FDA approval of Vistide, a Gilead anti-CMV drug.  She testified for the FDA, and was featured in a video.
bulletLobbied against mandatory HIV name reporting (since NWAF research had shown that it would reduce testing).  She spoke with members of the Washington State Senate and House of Representatives.
bulletLobbied against the wording of the Parental Rights and Responsibilities Act (which would have made AIDS Education in public schools difficult, at best).  She spoke with members of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.
